Tyler Reddick Wins at Las Vegas

Tyler Reddick scored his first win of the 2016 season and Daniel Hemric finished second in the DC Solar 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This victory was Reddick’s first win of the 2016 season and also marked the first one-two finish for Brad Keselowski Racing. Saturday night’s race was the second of three races in the Chase’s Round of 8, Hemric is now 15 points outside the six-driver cutoff line.

Reddick started the race in 16th postiton and powered his way to the front early. Reddick earned the top spot at lap 44 and would lead the field for 70 out of 146 laps.

Hemric set the fastest lap in practice for the weekend and qualified 6th for the race. Hemric ran in the top five for most of the night and would go on to lead the field for the first time on lap 45. After challenging his teammate for the win, he tied his career-best finish and rounded out the night with the second-most laps led, 38.

The 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race for the Chase continues at Talladega Superspeedway on October 22nd. All eight Chase drivers are determined to transfer into the next round towards a Championship, but only six drivers will continue.
