NCWTS: Burton Captures Pole at Texas Motor Speedway

Jeb Burton will start off on the pole tonight at the Texas Motor Speedway after a fast time of 29.813 seconds, 181.129 mph. when qualifying ended. Today’s pole will mark his seventh career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series pole position this season. He also comes into tonight’s race looking to win his second race at the Texas Motor Speedway after winning here in June. He was the highest qualifying rookie.

Justin Lofton will make his eighth start this season at the Texas Motor Speedway qualifying in the second position. Lofton ran a fast time of 29.886 seconds, 180.687 mph. when he made his run. This is his sixth start this season in the top-10. He showed that no matter his injury to his hand suffered two weeks ago at Talladega Superspeedway can stop him.

Ty Dillon will roll off tonight in the third position after posting a time of 29.888 seconds, 180.675 mph. on his run. This will be Dillon’s 16th start in the top-10 in a race this season. He goes into Texas Motor Speedway tonight looking for his second win of the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

Series points leader Matt Crafton will start tonight from the 14th position after posting his fastest time at 30.102 seconds, 179.390 mph. on his run. Crafton goes into tonight’s race with a 51 point lead over James Buescher.

No trucks was disqualified from the event as only 35 showed up to race.
