Harrison Burton won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway for his second consecutive victory.

With his win on Saturday, Burton (20) became the youngest driver ever to win at the paperclip. His father, Jeff Burton previously held the record at 23 years old.

“Martinsville is one of those places that’s really cool to win at,” Burton told NBC Sports after his win.

For Burton, this marks his fourth victory of the 2020 Xfinity Series season.

Rounding out the top five were Justin Allgaier in second, Noah Gragson in third, Jeb Burton in fourth and Ross Chastain in fifth.

Saturday’s race was also the last race in the Round of 8, setting the four drivers to race for a championship next weekend in Phoenix. Austin Cindric, Chase Briscoe, Justin Allgaier and Justin Haley all transferred to the championship race at Phoenix.

For Briscoe, Cindric and Haley this will be their first championship appearance. Allgaier on the other hand has had four appearances in the title race.

Ross Chastain, Brandon Jones, Noah Gragson and Ryan Sieg all chances of them running for a championship this year are over.

Saturday’s Xfinity Series race was the first at Martinsville since 2006.

Rounding out the top ten were Riley Herbst in sixth, Chase Briscoe in seventh, Michael Annett in eighth, Brandon Jones in ninth and Austin Cindric in tenth.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series championship race will be held on Nov. 7 at Phoenix Raceway at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Brett Moffitt won Saturday’s NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway. The 2019 series champion became the first driver to clinch a spot into the championship race at Phoenix Raceway next month.

Driver No. 23 held the race lead in an overtime restart against his teammate Zane Smith.

Smith would cause the need for an overtime finish after he made contact with Moffitt as they battled for the race lead. Smith’s truck made contact with the Turn 3 wall.

After the race, Moffitt took blame for the incident.

“Got to apologize to the 21 for trying to block him, but we were racing hard for a championship spot.” Moffitt told FS1 post-race. “A bad block by me. It’s my fault.”

Rounding out the top five were Sheldon Creed in second, Austin Hill in third, Grant Enfinger in fourth and Chandler Smith in fifth.

Hailie Deegan, who made her truck series debut, finished 16th. Her finish is the best finish by a female in their truck series debut. While the race was going on, it was announced that Deegan will run the series full-time starting in 2021.

Rounding out the top ten were Christian Eckes in sixth, Timothy Peters in seventh, Matt Crafton in eighth, Derek Kraus in ninth and Trevor Bayne in tenth.

The NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series heads into Texas Motor Speedway on October 25th at noon ET.

AJ Allmendinger won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race in overtime at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval.

Allmendinger was able to dodge spinning cars throughout the race not to mention the horrible conditions that drivers faced running the race in rain.

Saturday’s victory is Allmedinger’s fifth win in the Xfinity Series and second this season. Allmendinger also won last year’s Xfinity Series race at the Charlotte Roval as well.

“Oh my God. I don’t know what to say,” Allmendinger told his team on the radio after winning Saturday’s race.

Rounding out the top five were Noah Gragson in second, Daniel Hemric in third, Alex Labbe in fourth and Ross Chastain in fifth.

Noah Gragson, who finished second had a run in with Riley Herbst as they raced for the race lead. Gragson would get sent into the barrier by contact from Herbst.

This marks the second time these two drivers have made contact this season. Earlier in the year at Texas Motor Speedway in July, Gragson made contact with Herbst and sent him into the wall.

“I don’t really get mad. I get even,” Gragson told NBC Sports.

Chase Briscoe, who led a portion of the race and was in contention at the end of the race spun before entering Turn 2 during the overtime restart.

“The driver just made a mistake,” Briscoe told NBC Sports.“In the conditions like this you’ve got to be at 100 percent and it bit me. So very unfortunate. That one is gonna sting for a long time.”

Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race was also a cutoff race meaning that four drivers would be eliminated from the playoffs. Harrison Burton, Brandon Brown, Riley Herbst and Michael Annett were all eliminated from the playoffs.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will open the Round of 8 next Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Eastern on NBCSN.

Justin Haley won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff race at Talladega Superspeedway.

Haley went from tenth to the lead in the final 10 laps of the race to win and advance into the next round.

“Got this thing into the Round of 8. That’s the most important,” Haley told NBCSN post-race.

For Haley, this marks his third straight win. His previous two wins came at Talladega in June and Daytona in August.

Haley was leading the race when the caution came out on the back straightaway that involved playoff contender Harrison Burton and four other drivers.

Michael Annett, who originally finished the race in second but his car was disqualified for failing post-race inspection.

Rounding out the top five were Ryan Sieg in second, Noah Gragson in third, Brandon Jones in fourth and Daniel Hemric in fifth.

Ryan Sieg, who finished second marked his second straight top five finish. Noah Gragson’s third place finish marks his sixth top 10 finish in a row.

Chase Briscoe, who won both stages of the race, lost the lead with 2 laps to go after hitting the wall.

Rounding out the top ten were Ross Chastain in sixth, Josh Williams in seventh, Garrett Smithley in eighth, Brandon Brown in ninth and Alex Labbe in tenth.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will head to the Charlotte Roval at 3:30 p.m. Eastern on October 10th. This race will mark the first playoff elimination race.

Race Winner: Justin Haley

Chase Briscoe won Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway in a late race pass to get the victory in the final regular season race of the season.

Briscoe passed Austin Cindric late in the race and would hold command of the lead to the checkered flag. Friday’s victory marks Briscoe’s seventh win of the season, a series high.

“I was so mad after last week,” Briscoe told NBCSN post-race. “I told all the guys there ain’t no way we’re getting beat today. I was so mad after how we ran last week and I get on the internet all the time and I see guys count us out after one bad race and I know what this team is capable. I finished second here the last two races and I wanted to win here so bad and it’s awesome that I can actually celebrate it with all these race fans.”

Rounding out the top five were Ross Chastain in second, Austin Cindric in third, Harrison Burton in fourth and Justin Allgaier in fifth.

Ross Chastain, who finished second lead 117 laps of the race and took the lead on three different occasions.

Justin Allgaier, who finished fifth lead the early part of the race, leading 126 laps and sweeping the first two stages. However, Allgaier would loose the race lead in the pits after Stage 2 during pit stops.

Rounding out the top ten were Anthony Alfredo in sixth, Noah Gragson in seventh, Brandon Jones in eighth, Jeb Burton and Riley Herbst in tenth.

Brandon Brown, who finished 12th, clinched the final playoff spot.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will open their playoffs at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sept. 26th at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on NBCSN.
