AJ Allmendinger won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Allmendinger took the race lead on a restart with 13 laps to go in the race and pulled away to win.
For Allmendinger, Saturday’s victory marks his sixth Xfinity career win and his second win on an oval.
Driver No. 16 led 44 of the 200 lap race.
Rounding out the top five were Daniel Hemric in second, Brandon Jones in third, Austin Cindric in fourth and Noah Gragson in fifth.
Daniel Hemric, who finished in second led a race-high 74 laps, finishing runner-up for the eighth time in his career.
Rounding out the top ten were Michael Annett in sixth, Josh Berry in seventh, Justin Haley in eighth, Harrison Burton in ninth and Jeb Burton in tenth.
Austin Cindric currently leads the Xfinity standings after four races with 191 points. Daniel Hemric is second with 170 points, Brandon Jones is third with 140 points, Jeb Burton is fourth with 133 points and Justin Haley is fifth with 128 points.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series will head into Phoenix Raceway at 5:30 p.m. Eastern on March 13 with coverage on FS1.

NXS: Myatt Sinder gets first Xfinity Series career win at Homestead
Myatt Snider took the lead on the second overtime attempt and held off Tyler Reddick to win his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race.
This marks the second week in a row that the series has seen a first time winner after Ty Gibbs’ win last Saturday on the road course at Daytona.
Snider was able to rebound in the second overtime restart to take the lead. During the first attempt, Snider spun his tires and lost the lead to Reddick before AJ Allmendinger brought out the caution.
“I guess I learned by lesson on that first restart,” Snider told FS1 post-race.
Rounding out the top five were Tyler Reddick in second, Brandon Jones in third, Daniel Hemric in fourth and Jeb Burton in fifth.
Jeb Burton’s fifth place finish is his third straight top five this season. He is the only driver to do so.
Noah Gragson’s bad luck continued on Saturday after he had the chance to win but lost in the closing laps.
David Starr had a tire go down and hit the wall. Gragson came up on Starr and slammed into the back of Starr has he slowed down, ending Gragson’s race.
“What are you going to do”? Gragson told FS1 post-race. You’ve got dip— in the way every single week.”
Gragson would finish 34th while Starr would finish 22nd.
Rounding out the top ten were Justin Haley in sixth, Brett Moffitt in seventh, Ryan Sieg in eighth, Jeremy Clements in ninth and Josh Berry in tenth.

NXS: Ty Gibbs wins at Daytona in Xfinity Series debut
Ty Gibbs, who made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut, took the race lead in the second NASCAR overtime to win Saturday’s Xfinity Series race on the Daytona road course.
“This is like a dream come true,” Gibbs told FS1 post-race.
With his win, Gibbs is the sixth driver to win in their series debut and the first to win in their series debut before racing in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Gibbs, who is the grandson of car owner Joe Gibbs, gained five spots on the overtime restart before reaching the third turn. Driver No. 54 led 14 of the 56 lap race.
Rounding out the top five were Austin Cindric in second, Daniel Hemric in third, Brandon Jones in fourth and Jeb Burton in fifth.
AJ Allmendinger, who was on of the favorites to win finished 35th after he and Austin Cindric made contact coming to the finish line for the completion of Stage 1. They made contact and the contact sent Allmendinger into the grass, tearing up the front of Allmendinger’s car. Cindric’s car was also damaged in the incident.
“He drove me down to the grass,” Cindric said on his team radio after the contact. “I don’t like that. It’s Stage 1. I don’t want to do that.”
Rounding out the top ten were Harrison Burton in sixth, Miguel Paludo in seventh, Brandon Brown in eighth, Justin Haley in ninth and Jeremy Clements in tenth.
Notable Riley Herbst finished 38th. Herbst was running fourth coming to the end of Stage1 when he ran into the grass to avoid from hitting AJ Allmendinger’s car and his got torn up by the grass.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series will head to Homestead-Miami Speedway next Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Eastern.

NXS: Austin Cindric wins Xfinity series opener at Daytona
Austin Cindric won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity series season opener at Daytona International Speedway.
The reigning Xfinity series champion held off the field in an overtime restart to win.
“What a way to kick off the season,” Cindric told FS1 post-race.
Saturday’s victory at Daytona is Cindric’s ninth Xfinity Series win of his career. He’ll also make his NASCAR Cup Series debut in Sunday’s Daytona 500.
Rounding out the top five were Brett Moffitt in second, Harrison Burton in third, Jeb Burton in fourth and AJ Allmendinger in fifth.
Harrison Burton, who finished third gave him his third top-five finish in all three of his starts.
The overtime restart was set up by a crash that occurred when Jeb Burton got into Landon Cassill and sent Cassill into the wall. Tommy Joe Martins was also involved in the crash.
Some favorites to win the race were taken out in a crash with 14 laps to go. Ty Dillion made contact with his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Daniel Hemric. Justin Haley, Justin Allgaier and Riley Herbst were among those involved in the incident as well.
“I’m sorry guys,” Ty Dillion told his team on the radio after the crash.
Rounding out the top ten were Brandon Brown in sixth, Myatt Snider in seventh, Brandon Gdovic in eighth, Daniel Hemric in ninth and Jason White in tenth.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series will race on the Daytona road course next Saturday at 5 p.m. Eastern on FS1.

Austin Cindric won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race and captured the championship at Phoenix Raceway.
Cindric passed Justin Allgaier on the final lap of the race to win the race and claim his first Xfinity Series championship.
The overtime restart was set up when championship contender Chase Briscoe spun out with just three laps to go. Allgaier would restart in the lead after deciding to stay out under caution. Cindric would came to pit road, giving up his lead. Cindric would restart third.
The two drivers made contact with Noah Grayson coming to the white flag as Cindric made it three wide between Allgaier and Gragson.
“I’m speechless. I’m pretty humbled by the effort,” Cindric told NBCSN post-race.
Rounding out the top five were Noah Gragson in second, Brandon Jones in third, Michael Annett finished fourth and Justin Allgaier finished fifth.
For Cindric, this marks his sixth victory of the 2020 season. Driver No. 22 will return to his Xfinity Series ride next year before going to Cup in 2022.
Chase Briscoe, who won a Xfinity Series-high of nine races, finished ninth.
“Frustrating day,” Briscoe told NBCSN post-race. “I’ve got to do a lot better job coming here. Something about this place I struggle with.”
Rounding out the top ten were Harrison Burton in sixth, Ross Chastain in seventh, Justin Haley in eighth, Chase Briscoe in ninth and Jeremy Clements in tenth.
Harrison Burton, who finished sixth won the rookie of the year title.

Harrison Burton won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway for his second consecutive victory.
With his win on Saturday, Burton (20) became the youngest driver ever to win at the paperclip. His father, Jeff Burton previously held the record at 23 years old.
“Martinsville is one of those places that’s really cool to win at,” Burton told NBC Sports after his win.
For Burton, this marks his fourth victory of the 2020 Xfinity Series season.
Rounding out the top five were Justin Allgaier in second, Noah Gragson in third, Jeb Burton in fourth and Ross Chastain in fifth.
Saturday’s race was also the last race in the Round of 8, setting the four drivers to race for a championship next weekend in Phoenix. Austin Cindric, Chase Briscoe, Justin Allgaier and Justin Haley all transferred to the championship race at Phoenix.
For Briscoe, Cindric and Haley this will be their first championship appearance. Allgaier on the other hand has had four appearances in the title race.
Ross Chastain, Brandon Jones, Noah Gragson and Ryan Sieg all chances of them running for a championship this year are over.
Saturday’s Xfinity Series race was the first at Martinsville since 2006.
Rounding out the top ten were Riley Herbst in sixth, Chase Briscoe in seventh, Michael Annett in eighth, Brandon Jones in ninth and Austin Cindric in tenth.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series championship race will be held on Nov. 7 at Phoenix Raceway at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

NGOTS: Brett Moffitt punches ticket to Phoenix with win at Kansas
Brett Moffitt won Saturday’s NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway. The 2019 series champion became the first driver to clinch a spot into the championship race at Phoenix Raceway next month.
Driver No. 23 held the race lead in an overtime restart against his teammate Zane Smith.
Smith would cause the need for an overtime finish after he made contact with Moffitt as they battled for the race lead. Smith’s truck made contact with the Turn 3 wall.
After the race, Moffitt took blame for the incident.
“Got to apologize to the 21 for trying to block him, but we were racing hard for a championship spot.” Moffitt told FS1 post-race. “A bad block by me. It’s my fault.”
Rounding out the top five were Sheldon Creed in second, Austin Hill in third, Grant Enfinger in fourth and Chandler Smith in fifth.
Hailie Deegan, who made her truck series debut, finished 16th. Her finish is the best finish by a female in their truck series debut. While the race was going on, it was announced that Deegan will run the series full-time starting in 2021.
Rounding out the top ten were Christian Eckes in sixth, Timothy Peters in seventh, Matt Crafton in eighth, Derek Kraus in ninth and Trevor Bayne in tenth.

NXS: AJ Allmendinger wins at rainy Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval
AJ Allmendinger won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race in overtime at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval.
Allmendinger was able to dodge spinning cars throughout the race not to mention the horrible conditions that drivers faced running the race in rain.
Saturday’s victory is Allmedinger’s fifth win in the Xfinity Series and second this season. Allmendinger also won last year’s Xfinity Series race at the Charlotte Roval as well.
“Oh my God. I don’t know what to say,” Allmendinger told his team on the radio after winning Saturday’s race.
Rounding out the top five were Noah Gragson in second, Daniel Hemric in third, Alex Labbe in fourth and Ross Chastain in fifth.
Noah Gragson, who finished second had a run in with Riley Herbst as they raced for the race lead. Gragson would get sent into the barrier by contact from Herbst.
This marks the second time these two drivers have made contact this season. Earlier in the year at Texas Motor Speedway in July, Gragson made contact with Herbst and sent him into the wall.
“I don’t really get mad. I get even,” Gragson told NBC Sports.
Chase Briscoe, who led a portion of the race and was in contention at the end of the race spun before entering Turn 2 during the overtime restart.
“The driver just made a mistake,” Briscoe told NBC Sports.“In the conditions like this you’ve got to be at 100 percent and it bit me. So very unfortunate. That one is gonna sting for a long time.”
Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race was also a cutoff race meaning that four drivers would be eliminated from the playoffs. Harrison Burton, Brandon Brown, Riley Herbst and Michael Annett were all eliminated from the playoffs.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series will open the Round of 8 next Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Eastern on NBCSN.

NXS: Justin Haley wins Xfinity Playoff race at Talladega
Justin Haley won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff race at Talladega Superspeedway.
Haley went from tenth to the lead in the final 10 laps of the race to win and advance into the next round.
“Got this thing into the Round of 8. That’s the most important,” Haley told NBCSN post-race.
For Haley, this marks his third straight win. His previous two wins came at Talladega in June and Daytona in August.
Haley was leading the race when the caution came out on the back straightaway that involved playoff contender Harrison Burton and four other drivers.
Michael Annett, who originally finished the race in second but his car was disqualified for failing post-race inspection.
Rounding out the top five were Ryan Sieg in second, Noah Gragson in third, Brandon Jones in fourth and Daniel Hemric in fifth.
Ryan Sieg, who finished second marked his second straight top five finish. Noah Gragson’s third place finish marks his sixth top 10 finish in a row.
Chase Briscoe, who won both stages of the race, lost the lead with 2 laps to go after hitting the wall.
Rounding out the top ten were Ross Chastain in sixth, Josh Williams in seventh, Garrett Smithley in eighth, Brandon Brown in ninth and Alex Labbe in tenth.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series will head to the Charlotte Roval at 3:30 p.m. Eastern on October 10th. This race will mark the first playoff elimination race.

Chase Briscoe won Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway in a late race pass to get the victory in the final regular season race of the season.
Briscoe passed Austin Cindric late in the race and would hold command of the lead to the checkered flag. Friday’s victory marks Briscoe’s seventh win of the season, a series high.
“I was so mad after last week,” Briscoe told NBCSN post-race. “I told all the guys there ain’t no way we’re getting beat today. I was so mad after how we ran last week and I get on the internet all the time and I see guys count us out after one bad race and I know what this team is capable. I finished second here the last two races and I wanted to win here so bad and it’s awesome that I can actually celebrate it with all these race fans.”
Rounding out the top five were Ross Chastain in second, Austin Cindric in third, Harrison Burton in fourth and Justin Allgaier in fifth.
Ross Chastain, who finished second lead 117 laps of the race and took the lead on three different occasions.
Justin Allgaier, who finished fifth lead the early part of the race, leading 126 laps and sweeping the first two stages. However, Allgaier would loose the race lead in the pits after Stage 2 during pit stops.
Rounding out the top ten were Anthony Alfredo in sixth, Noah Gragson in seventh, Brandon Jones in eighth, Jeb Burton and Riley Herbst in tenth.
Brandon Brown, who finished 12th, clinched the final playoff spot.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series will open their playoffs at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sept. 26th at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on NBCSN.
