FRM Post-Race Report: Kentucky

Michael McDowell
No. 34 Love’s Travel Stops Ford Mustang
Started: 17 | Finished: 25
Really hate how that ended for our No. 34 Loves Travel Stops team. We had a top-15 car all night long, at times running inside of the top 10, but a late race hiccup set us back to where we ultimately could not rebound. I’m proud of the hard work my team put in this weekend and glad that we were able to have Ark Encounter join us in Kentucky. On to the next one.”
Matt Tifft
No. 36 Southwestern Trucking Ford Mustang
Started: 31 | Finished: 27
We struggled through the weekend to find consistent speed but made some improvements by the end of final practice. We were back and forth throughout the race and tried to make adjustments but ultimately struggled through the evening and came out P27. It was really great to have Southwestern Trucking on board with us this weekend and I hope we can see them again soon. We’ll take what learnings we can and come back ready to go to New Hampshire next week.”
David Ragan
No. 38 Long John Silver’s Ford Mustang
Started: 25 | Finished: 29
“It was a difficult day for our No. 38 Long John Silver’s Ford Mustang. A combination of changing track temperatures and grip made it a little tougher to anticipate how our car was going to react as the race unfolded. We will regroup this week at the shop and aim to rebound next weekend at New Hampshire.”
