Twisted Tea Camaro ZL1 Returns to the Track with Ty Dillon at Texas Motor Speedway

Weekend Notes

After a strong run at Martinsville Speedway, Ty Dillon will head to Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) with his Germain Racing team and their No. 13 Twisted Tea Camaro ZL1. Primary partner Twisted Tea, the No. 1 hard iced tea made with real brewed tea, will return to the hood of Dillon’s Chevrolet for the first time since 2018. This will be the first of three races this season for the yellow and blue machine.

One of Dillon’s favorite tracks, he has raced at the intermediate racetrack in all three of NASCAR’s national touring series. In his five starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS), Dillon has earned one win (2013), four top-five finishes, five top-10 finishes and has led 229 laps of competition. He has ten NASCAR Xfinity Series starts under his belt at TMS, scoring one top-five finish and three top-10 finishes. In last season’s spring race at TMS, Dillon earned his track-best finish in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series when he took the checkered flag in the 13th position.

Germain Racing has scored seven NGOTS wins at TMS. Six wins were captured by Todd Bodine (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010) and one was secured by Ted Musgrave (2007). Bodine won the spring 2007 race after starting from the pole.

Dillon Weekend Chatter

What are your thoughts as you head to Texas Motor Speedway with the Twisted Tea Camaro ZL1?
“Texas is a difficult track to tackle. You have to find a strange balance with Turns 1 and 2 being so flat and Turns 3 and 4 still being banked with wide-open speeds. It will be interesting to head there with this new package. People want to know what it’s going to be like, and the reality is that we just have no idea how it will behave. But, that’s what has made this season fun and interesting. It’s going to be different week to week, and we are all learning as we go. Our Twisted Tea Camaro ZL1 team has adapted well so far, and hopefully we can keep doing that.”
