Gase Heads to Martinsville for Another Run with StarCom Racing

Martinsville Speedway is one of NASCAR’s most prolific and historic tracks. Known as “the paperclip”, the track brings some exciting and intense racing as the round of 8 begins in the NASCAR Playoffs. Gase returns to the #00 for only his second start at the half-mile speedway.

“Martinsville is such a historic track and was one of my favorite tracks to watch my favorite driver in the Cup Series, Rusty Wallace, race when I was a kid,” said Gase. “Not only that, but I’m incredibly humbled to be honoring a good friend, Meredith Haga-Fox, on the car this weekend. Meredith was an incredible person. Her and I shared the same passion in organ donation. Even in her passing her legacy and passion lives on through others.” Meredith’s photo can be found on the TV panel of Gase’s Donate Life Virginia Chevy for Sunday’s First Data 500.

This weekend will be Gase’s 7th Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series start this season and his 5th with StarCom Racing. “I can’t thank StarCom enough for the opportunity this coming weekend,” Gase commented. “We had a great run a couple of weeks ago at Talladega and I’m looking forward to building off of that this weekend.”
