The Hurricane Heist To Sponsor Matt DiBenedetto For The Daytona 500

Go Fas Racing has announced today that Entertainment Studios’ new film, The Hurricane Heist, will be the primary sponsor of Matt DiBenedetto’s No.32 Ford Fusion for the Daytona 500. The Hurricane Heist is a film directed by Rob Cohen, the creator of the Fast and The Furious film franchise and the director of high adrenaline action blockbusters such as The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and xXx.

Entertainment Studios’ The Hurricane Heist is an action thriller set to release on March 9th in theatres nationwide. The film’s story is as exciting as a NASCAR race. Under the threat of a hurricane, opportunistic criminals infiltrate a US Mint facility to steal $600 million for the ultimate heist. When the hurricane blows up into a lethal CATEGORY 5 storm and their well-made plans go awry, they find themselves needing a vault code known only by one Treasury Agent (Maggie Grace), a need that turns murderous. But the Treasury agent has picked up an unlikely ally, a meteorologist (Toby Kebbell) terrified of hurricanes but determined to save his estranged brother kidnapped by the thieves. He uses his knowledge of the storm as a weapon to win in this non-stop action thriller ride charged with adrenaline throughout.

“It’s going to be really cool representing The Hurricane Heist for the biggest weekend of our season,” said driver Matt DiBenedetto. “Not only is the movie a great ride with phenomenal special effects, but the car looks great and will stand out on the racetrack. Hopefully The Hurricane Heist will help us bring home the win and start the year off strong!”

“Our film, The Hurricane Heist is an excellent match with NASCAR powerhouse driver, Matt DiBenedetto,” said Entertainment Studios Founder, Chairman and CEO Byron Allen. “The partnership is the perfect fusion of an on-screen and off-screen thrill ride!”

Last year, Matt DiBenedetto drove the No.32 E.J. Wade Foundation Ford to a ninth-place finish in the Daytona 500. That finish set the tone for a great year for Go Fas Racing and the team improved nearly seven spots in both qualifying and race averages. Highlighted by two top-10’s and several top-20 finishes, 2017 saw Go Fas Racing become NASCAR’s most improved team.

DiBenedetto and the No.32 Go Fas Racing team will also be competing in the Can-Am Duels, the qualifying races for the Daytona 500, representing the title sponsor on his No.32 Can-Am / Kappa Ford.

Don’t miss The Hurricane Heist No.32 Ford as it competes in the 60th annual Daytona 500 at 2:30pm EST on Sunday, February 18th on FOX and make sure to check out Entertainment Studios’ The Hurricane Heist in theatres on March 9th.
