Kyle Larson’s Outlaw Kart Showcase Presented by Brandt Returns to Cycleland Speedway

BRANDT® Professional Agriculture® has partnered with NASCAR star Kyle Larson to stage the highest guaranteed purse in Outlaw Kart racing, offering $25,000 in the Open Division with $6,000 to the winner, at Chico, California’s Cycleland Speedway. The third annual Kyle Larson’s Outlaw Kart Showcase, presented by BRANDT, is set to return as a two-day affair on Monday and Tuesday, September 4 and 5.

“I’m thrilled to have BRANDT come on board for the Outlaw Kart Showcase. They have a big presence in the California agriculture industry and motorsports, both in NASCAR with Justin Allgaier as well as regional and national events, and they only add to the prestige of this event,” said Larson.

Once again, the Outlaw Kart Showcase will also include the Box Stock and 250 Intermediate outlaw karts. New this year will see preliminary events for all three divisions on Monday night, with feature events on Tuesday night. Also on Monday night, a special Mystery Feature paying $1,000 to the winner will be contested in the Open Division.

“I love coming back to Cycleland Speedway, as that is where I honed my skills as a kid,” said Larson. “The Tuesday night Showcase race was always my favorite race of the year, because I knew the World of Outlaw drivers and teams would be out there watching before the Gold Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway. It just makes me feel good to have revived it and give back to the Outlaw Kart community, and put on an awesome show for the fans.”

As usual, drivers from all parts of the country are expected to contest the event. 210 total entries were received last year and Larson expects 2016 Open winner Logan Seavey to be at the top of the list of possible winners of this year’s edition. Also expected to return is 250 Intermediate victor Carsen Perkins and Box Stock feature winner Preston Carr.

Instructions for event entry are available at www.OutlawKartShowcase.com. All competitors must be pre-entered and no entries will be accepted at the gate on race days. Entry information, as well as rules, race format and information on sponsorship opportunities will be posted on the website.
