Stenhouse and Fifth Third Bank Stand Up to Cancer with Special Scheme at Kentucky

Forty-seven names of brave individuals who are currently fighting or have fought a battle with cancer will be featured on the No. 17 Fifth Third Ford for tonight’s  MONSTER Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race at Kentucky Speedway.

“I’m honored to be a part of this campaign to raise funds and awareness for this great cause, Stand Up to Cancer” said Stenhouse. “Cancer affects all of us.  This car only has 47 names on it, but it represents millions fighting the battle every day.”

A longtime supporter of Stand Up to Cancer, Fifth Third Bank, in partnership with Ricky Stenhouse Jr., reached out to NASCAR fans asking them to #StandUpwithRicky and honor a friend or family member by sharing their story.

The Fifth Third Ford will roll off in the 18th position for tonight’s race as Stenhouse tries to go for back-to-back victories.

In addition, Fifth Third is working to make our communities a Fifth Third Better – 166.7% better by donating $1,667 dollars times Stenhouse Jr.’s qualifying mile per hour speed in Friday night’s qualifying session.

Race coverage is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST on NBCSN. The race can also be heard on PRN and SIRIUS channel 90.
