“With the recent changes to Kentucky Speedway, I think it’s a good thing they’re mixing some of the tracks up. Kentucky definitely needed a repave last year, and I think they resurfaced it again. So, we’re kind of starting from square one once again. In a lot of ways, it was still the same old Kentucky that we’ve had in the past. The track is just so wide, and there’s a lot of racing room there. You have to have a car that handles well with a lot of lateral load.
“We have a little extra detail on our Love’s Travel Stops Ford this week. Love’s is headquartered in Oklahoma City and is a big partner of the Thunder. And Russell Westbrook was just named NBA MVP, so they’ve got a little MVP tribute on our No. 34 car. People who know me know I’m a Cavs fan, but we’ll give Russell a little love — pun intended. He deserves it.”
