Cassill on Daytona
“We had a good Love’s Travel Stops Ford in February in Daytona, and we had a good start to the season in the 500, even with some damage. Love’s is back this weekend with a military paint scheme for Independence Day — it’s camouflage and pays tribute to the Special Forces Charitable Trust, an organization that supports U.S. Army Special Forces.
“This race is a great event every year, and we’re happy to have Love’s on board again. There’s a Love’s near the track, so everyone should stop there for your fuel and snacks and whatever you need for the race. I’m sure I’ll be stopping at least once sometime this weekend.
“There’s a huge difference between racing at night and racing during the day at Daytona. Even if it’s hotter in July, it’s the direct sunlight on the track that drives the temperature up for the February race. We’re definitely anticipating a lot of handling to come into play this week.”
