Roush Yates Looks Ahead to 2012

Roush Yates enters the 2012 racing season confident in their engines and performance products after wrapping up a successful 2011. The prestigious performance company known for their NASCAR engines ended 2011 by earning the MAHLE Clevite Engine Builder of the Year award after capturing 160 race wins in nine different racing series and expanding to a 50,000 sq/ft “green” performance products store.

Roush Yates’ Chief Engine Builder and CEO Doug Yates earned the MAHLE Clevite Engine Builder of the Year in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide series. The engineers at Roush Yates also received the Crane Cams Engine Builder of the Year award in the ARCA series; and Nick Ramey, ARCA Program Manager for Roush Yates, won the H.G. Adcox Sportsman of the Year Award the for an outstanding performance during the year. Clinching titles in engine building and earning awards in track support underscores the power and prestige of Roush Yates Engines and theirtop-notch personnel.

In addition to multiple esteemed titles, Roush Yates also documented 160 wins throughout the 2011 season. Wins were earned in nine different racing series including: seven Off Road Truck, four ARCA, nine NASCAR Sprint Cup, 13 NASCAR Nationwide, 10 asphalt and dirt Modified, 14 Drag, 20 Sprint, 31 Road Racing and 50 Late Model wins. Roush Yates engines also powered five drivers to series championships.

After a successful 2011 season, Roush Yates anticipates an even better 2012 with the introduction of new engines for the performance market, a full line of services, innovative products, and the debut of their performance products catalog.

Roush Yates is always looking for ways to increase performance and add horsepower. A new engine lineup for 2012 will include more street engines and hot rod options for the everyday driver, bigger drag racing engines, and more dirt racing engine package options. In addition to engines, Roush Yates is introducing their  own line of performance products and tools. Recently released for 2012 are the carburetor bowl repair kit , carburetor base plate locators, and specialized carburetors for the Saturday night racer. Roush Yates is proud to introduce their  first performance products catalog in 2012. The catalog features Roush Yates’ newest products along with a vast number of vendor lines carried in their Performance Products store. It is free to everyone and can be ordered online, by phone, or picked up in the Performance Products Showroom located in Mooresville, NC.

For the first time ever, Roush Yates is offering services not normally available to the public. In 2012 Roush Yates engineers will provide valve train testing and chassis dyno services to all make and model engines and cars.   The state-of-the-art SPINTRON™ machines used at Roush Yates are dedicated to testing and evaluating valve train components and can help improve an engine’s complete top end while increasing potential horsepower. Roush Yates is also offering runs on their 248 and 224X Dynojet chassis dynos that are operated by certified technicians. The dynos are open to any type of vehicle and SCT tuning services are also available.

Doug Yates is looking forward to dynamic advancements and developments in the 2012 season.
