Ragan on Richmond

“It’s awesome that Richmond went out on their own and said, ‘We’re going to have a day race and a night race.’ The cars don’t drive as good, you can move around more, and the tires wear out more any time the sun’s out and it’s hotter.

“The downforce changes do have an effect at short tracks. You see it in your lap times and how you get on the throttle and the amount of brake that you’re using. Last year, the racing at Richmond was great. You could move around and use multiple lanes, and I think that’s neat for racers to race and for fans to watch. We’ve run well there in the past, and I think we can have another great race in our Camping World/Good Sam Ford this weekend.”
