Crew members are the unsung heroes of the weekends at the track, working long hours behind the scenes even before a driver’s shows up and hops in the car. Crews work in all seasons and weather from cold and rain to heat and dry pushing through to get the cars tuned and on track for the weekend activities.
Long hours at the track and working in the garage mean crews are on their feet for long periods of time both in the garage and on pit road over a two or three day stretch.
“Race day can be pretty tough, usually a 12 – 15 + hour day from garage opening to race end and getting home. I think something I like is the comfort, stemming from the Innersole and Midsole. Usually Fridays are the busiest day for moving around and getting everything set up and working on the car during practice.” Said Wayne Smith – Shock Specialist for Richard Childress Racing
