Nathan’s Famous Surprises Ultimate Fan in Richmond, VA

Nathan’s Famous is continuing its mission to surprise unsuspecting fans and perform random acts of kindness across the nation throughout 2016 as the brand celebrates its 100th anniversary. On Saturday, prior to the start of the race event in Richmond, Va., race fan and Henrico, Va., native Vicki Jones was recognized as one of Nathan’s Famous “Ultimate Fans.”

Jones recently posted on the Nathan’s Famous Facebook page about her love of motorsports and also for her affinity for Nathan’s Famous hot dogs. Jones became a big fan of Nathan’s Famous after her first date with her now husband. It was on that date when she first tasted her first Nathan’s. Since that time, Jones only purchases the great tasting Nathan’s Famous hot dogs.

Jones did not know that the simple act of posting about her unique love story and her first experience with Nathan’s Famous would lead the legendary hot dog company to show just how much her loyalty is appreciated. Nathan’s Famous invited Jones and her guests to enjoy the races at Richmond and meet Richard Petty Motorsports driver, Aric Almirola.

Jones and her guests were given a VIP tour of the garage before meeting Almirola. Almirola took photos and signed autographs for the group. The surprises began when Almirola presented Jones with a $1,000 Food Lion gift card, Nathan’s Famous apparel and finally, free Nathan’s Famous hot dogs for one year.

“Vicki shared with us a wonderful story of how she became a fan of Nathan’s Famous,” said Wayne Norbitz, executive board member and 26-year president of Nathan’s Famous. “As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we want to give back to our loyal fans. We’re pleased to partner with Food Lion to give Vicki $1,000 in free groceries and free hot dogs for one year.”

Saturday’s activities were a part of Nathan’s Famous’ national “Ultimate Fan Nation” campaign. Special offers will be available for fans via NathansFamous.com, and the company’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
