Nathan’s Famous Surprises Ultimate Fan in Bristol, Tenn.

Nathan’s Famous is continuing its mission to surprise unsuspecting fans and perform random acts of kindness across the nation throughout 2016 as the brand celebrates its 100th anniversary. On Saturday, prior to the start of the race event at Bristol, Tenn. race fan and Hendersonsville, N.C. native Chad Whitcomb was recognized as one of Nathan’s Famous “Ultimate Fans.”
Whitcomb recently posted on the Nathan’s Famous Facebook page about his love of Richard Petty Motorsports and also for his affinity for Nathan’s Famous hot dogs. Whitcomb became a big fan of Nathan’s after seeing the world famous frankfurter on the No. 43 race car driven by Aric Almirola. Since that time, Whitcomb only purchases the great tasting Nathan’s Famous hot dogs.
Whitcomb did not know that the simple act of posting about his love of racing and Nathan’s Famous would lead the legendary hot dog company to show just how much him loyalty is appreciated. Nathan’s Famous invited Whitcomb and his guests to enjoy the races at Bristol and meet Almirola.
Whitcomb and his guests were given a VIP tour of the garage before meeting Almirola.  Almirola took photos and signed autographs for the group. The surprises began when Almirola presented Whitcomb with a $1,000 Food City gift card, Nathan’s Famous apparel and finally, free Nathan’s Famous hot dogs for one year.

“Race fans have proven to be extremely loyal and Chad is now forever a fan of Nathan’s Famous,” said Wayne Norbitz, executive board member and 26-year president of Nathan’s Famous. “As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we want to give back to our loyal fans. We’re pleased to partner with Food City to give Chad $1,000 in free groceries and free hot dogs for one year.
Saturday’s activities were a part of Nathan’s Famous’ national “Ultimate Fan Nation” campaign.
