Ricky Stenhouse Jr. traveled to Indianapolis to tackle the challenging obstacle courses of NBC’s hit show American Ninja Warrior. Season eight of American Ninja Warrior premiered on NBC on June 1, making it the show’s most watched season premiere to-date in total viewers, with 6.3 million. Tune in to NBC tonight at 8 p.m. ET to see how the two-time NASCAR champion performed on the demanding course.
“I had a great time during American Ninja Warrior,” Stenhouse said. “I have been a big fan of the show and always wanted to try some of the obstacles. All the participants were so helpful. They would tell you what they struggled with and how to attack a certain obstacle. I’m definitely going to train harder next year and do it again.”
Stenhouse traveled to Indianapolis the week leading into Talladega to participate in the show. This was first time that the show was hosted in Indianapolis, and it is one of a total of six cities featured in the 2016 season.
Stenhouse was the sole representative of NASCAR, but competed alongside three IndyCar Racing League drivers: Helio Castroneves, Tony Kanaan and Josef Newgarden.
