Brian Scott has Weekend Full of Firsts at Pocono Raceway

In addition to adding a new partner on the hood of the No. 44 Ford Fusion this weekend, Pocono Raceway will be a weekend of firsts for Brian Scott. Scott, who previously spent the past seven seasons competing full-time in the NASCAR XFINITY Series and on a partial schedule in the Camping World Truck Series, has only ever competed at Pocono Raceway in one ARCA race in 2008.

In that start at the 2.5-mile “Tricky Triangle”, Scott started eighth and finished 20th. Scott will look to have his first Sprint Cup Series start and his first start with partner Medallion Bank with a unique yellow taxi paint scheme on the No. 44 Ford Fusion.
Medallion Bank is a Utah-based industrial bank specializing in non-prime recreation loans and prime-credit home improvement loans. Medallion Bank also originated taxi medallion and asset based loans on behalf of the parent company, Medallion Financial. Scott will wheel the No. 44 Medallion Bank Ford Fusion this weekend at Pocono Raceway, featuring a yellow paint scheme with the iconic checkered stripe featured on taxi cabs across the country.
“Pocono Raceway is a new racetrack for me, and one that they call the ‘Tricky Triangle’ for a reason. With three different bankings in each of the turns, you really have to take the track one turn at a time and work your way through the corners. Since I haven’t raced there since I competed in the ARCA series, we’re really going to be working hard through practice on Friday and Saturday to ensure we have speed off the truck and do everything we can to get a good finish in our No. 44 Medallion Bank Ford.”
