“Dover has kind of a Bristol feel, but it’s more spread out. You don’t get the stadium feel like you have at Bristol. You feel like you’ve got a bit more room. The straightaways feel like they’ve got a lot more banking, making it a little more self-cleaning of a racetrack, which can get you in a lot of trouble really quickly. But it’s an awesome race track. We were able to get a win there last year in the XFINITY car. I love going out to that place. I feel like it’s a place that rides a lot like a short track even for as big as it is. It’s kind of like Iowa Speedway. You still get a lot of those short track characteristics mixed in with some intermediate stuff.
“It’s like a roller coaster ride at the county fair. It’s awesome. That drop getting in the corner is pretty wild in itself. And then trying to come out of the corner and basically getting thrown up toward the wall as you exit the banking on corner exit. It’s a very physically demanding track because of a lot of different things that are going on.”
