Love’s and CSX Team Up on Buescher’s No. 34 at Talladega

Chris Buescher’s No. 34 Ford Fusion will have the support of his two biggest partners at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway’s Geico 500. Love’s Travel Stops and CSX will serve as co-primary sponsors of the Front Row Motorsports entry for the May 1 Sprint Cup Series race, promoting safety on the roads and around railroad tracks.

Love’s and CSX are the No. 34 team’s principal sponsors for the 2016 season, combining for 26 of the series’ 36 points races. The Talladega race will serve as an opportunity for the two transportation-based companies to come together to promote a unified message during one of the season’s most anticipated and action-packed races.

CSX has used its Front Row Motorsports partnership for four straight seasons to promote its message to ‘Play It Safe’ around railroad tracks. And, with more than 370 locations in 40 states, Love’s has a customer base of recreational and professional drivers around the country who encounter railroad crossings every day.

“We are proud to work with CSX to support the ‘Play it Safe’ message,” said Dave Frankenfield, director of marketing for Love’s. “Truck driver safety is a very important initiative to Love’s and all of our customers.”

“CSX is proud to team up with Love’s Travel Stops at the Geico 500 to promote a strong commitment to safety and educating engineers and truck drivers about the importance of being safe around railroad tracks,” echoed John Claybrooks, director of brand, digital media and marketing communications at CSX.

Talladega Superspeedway is a track where Front Row Motorsports has a history of success, including a win and three top-five and seven top-10 finishes. It will be Buescher’s second Sprint Cup start at the 2.66-mile tri-oval.

“Talladega is an opportunity for us to have a solid day and even go pick up a win,” said Buescher. “It’s great that we have both Love’s and CSX on the car for such a big race, working together to promote safety, and it would be very special to take them both to Victory Lane.”

The Geico 500 will air live on FOX May 1 at 1 p.m. ET.
