Kevin Harvick Driving the High Banks to ‘Drive Down Your Mortgage’

As the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to the high-banks of Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway for Sunday’s Food City 500, Kevin Harvick’s No. 4 Chevrolet SS will feature the familiar blue color of ditech, a national lender and service provider of residential mortgage loans.

Ditech is also giving race fans a reason to cheer for Harvick and the No. 4 Chevrolet each weekend with its “Drive Down Your Mortgage” sweepstakes. Each time Harvick wins a Sprint Cup race, ditech will conduct a sweepstakes drawing for a cash prize of $20,000. The prize winner can use the $20,000 for any purpose they choose, including paying down their mortgage. No mortgage is required in order to be eligible to enter or win.

What makes the ditech “Drive Down Your Mortgage” sweepstakes all the more interesting is that Harvick is no stranger to victory lane at Bristol. In fact, he has won there in each of NASCAR’s three touring series.

The Bakersfield, California native scored a Sprint Cup victory at Bristol in April 2005, when he started 13th and led 109 of 500 laps and beat Elliott Sadler to the finish line by 4.652 seconds. He has five NASCAR Xfinity Series wins there with his most recent coming in March 2009, when he started 13th and led 46 laps to beat runner-up Carl Edwards by 0.798 of a second. He also visited Bristol’s victory lane in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in August 2011, when he started sixth, led 103 of 200 laps and beat Johnny Sauter by 0.434 of a second.

The best news for Harvick and race fans coming into this weekend may be crew chief Rodney Childers, who’s led four different Sprint Cup drivers to top-five finishes at Bristol. In addition to Harvick’s runner-up finish in August 2015, Childers has led Scott Riggs, David Reutimann and Brian Vickers to top-five Sprint Cup finishes at the .533-mile oval.

Childers led Riggs to a fourth-place finish in August 2006 while both worked for Evernham Motorsports. While at Michael Waltrip Racing, Childers led Reutimann to a runner-up finish in August 2010 and Brian Vickers to a fifth-place finish in March 2012, as well as fourth-place finishes in August 2012 and 2013.

In addition to the ditech’s “Drive Down Your Mortgage” sweepstakes grand prize, participants can also play an instant win game for a chance to win hundreds of other prizes.

To enter the sweepstakes, participants can register online at ditechdrivedownyourmortgage.com. Once registered, they can sign in and enter once per day, every day, until the promotion concludes. After each entry, they can also play the instant win game and find out immediately if they have won a prize.

The promotion continues through the remaining 30 eligible Sprint Cup races. Both the sweepstakes and the instant win game began Feb. 19 and will end at 11:59 p.m. Nov. 21.

Ditech has already awarded one $20,000 grand prize following Harvick’s Sprint Cup win at Phoenix International Raceway on March 13. Harvick would like to deliver a second Sprint Cup win of the season to virtually secure his team a place in the Chase for the Sprint Cup playoff. It would also provide a $20,000 grand prize payout for a registered race fan.
