Chase Elliott Is The First Driver Added To Martinsville Speedway’s Green Flag Experience

Martinsville Speedway’s Green Flag Experience presented by MTN DEW® is known for providing some of the biggest names in NASCAR and prior to the 500-lap race at Martinsville on April 3 will be no exception.

MTN DEW driver Chase Elliott is the first driver announced to take part in the moderated question-and-answer sessions of the event.

“We’re very excited to have Chase Elliott take part in the Green Flag Experience,” Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell said. “Chase is the son of a legend, is replacing a legend and, to top it all off, made his Sprint Cup Series debut in this very race, last year.”

Elliott, the 2016 Daytona 500 pole-sitter and rookie of the year contender, who has earned five NASCAR national series race wins, was voted by fans as the NASCAR XFINITY Series most popular driver in 2014 and 2015. He is the son of NASCAR Hall of Famer Bill Elliott and is now piloting the famed No. 24 Chevrolet SS.

Additional drivers participating in the Green Flag Experience will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Green Flag Experience also gives fans the chance to watch driver introductions from the track, along with a morning full of fun and excitement on the track and under the large tent in The Plaza, located on the hill behind the souvenir display area.

In addition to the emceed question-and-answer sessions, the Green Flag Experience offers fans the opportunity to walk the frontstretch on race morning, sign the start/finish line, a photo opportunity in mock Victory Lane, enjoy music, games and prizes along with show cars plus doughnuts, Danishes, coffee and juice. The cost of the Green Flag Experience is $60.

The driver question-and-answer sessions, food, music, games and prizes, and show cars will be held in The Plaza from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. The track portion will open at 9:15 and will remain open until the finish of driver introductions.

Admission to the Green Flag Experience does not include a ticket for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville.

Advance ticket prices for the Martinsville race begin at just $45.
