Ty Dillon drove Circle Sport Racing’s No. 33 Nexium® 24HR Chevrolet SS to a 23rd-place finish Saturday evening in his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Dillon, who qualified 25th on Friday evening, raced a majority of the race inside the top-25. Dillon battled a tight-handling condition in the middle portion on the race due to light contact with the outside wall in the early goings. The No. 33 team made appropriate repairs and adjustments attempting to keep Dillon on the lead lap. Long-green flag stretches in the latter portion of the race allowed the leaders to pass Dillon, putting him a lap down. Battling for the Lucky Dog position, Dillon noted the car’s balance still remained a little tight through the center of the corners. In the end, Dillon crossed the finish line 23rd, capping his Sprint Cup Series season with three top-25 finishes in five starts.

TY DILLON QUOTE:
“It was great to get the opportunity to race today in the Sprint Cup race, especially in NASCAR’s championship race. I learned a lot today from Nick (Harrison, crew chief) and Todd (Parrott, crew chief). I appreciate everyone’s hard work and I’m looking forward to next season.”
