Danica Patrick Home Game

There really is no place like home. And when you go home, you want to be successful.

Danica Patrick, driver of the No. 10 Aspen Dental Chevrolet SS for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), has that opportunity in Sunday’s MyAFibRisk.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois.

She grew up in Roscoe, Illinois, which is 115 miles northwest of the racetrack. She will have some friends and family in attendance, but she’ll also have a special paint scheme on her No. 10 Chevrolet this weekend.

Patrick’s No. 10 Chevrolet SS will sport the blue-and-white colors of Aspen Dental, one of the largest and fastest-growing networks of dental care providers in the United States with more than 500 locations in communities across 32 states, providing millions of Americans with access to quality, affordable dental care. Every Aspen Dental-branded practice provides much-needed access to affordable, quality care, including dental services that range from dentures and preventive care to general dentistry and restoration.

However, Patrick’s car won’t feature the traditional Aspen Dental paint scheme that has previously appeared on her No. 10 Chevrolet. This weekend, that paint scheme will be augmented by the names of more than 2,200 veterans being honored by their family and friends via a social media campaign launched earlier this year. All year, Aspen Dental practices have been helping veterans get their smiles back on track through the Healthy Mouth Movement, providing more than $2 million in free dental care to thousands of veterans. In total, the Healthy Mouth Movement has delivered more than $3 million in free dental care since it was launched in 2014.

When Patrick takes to the track at Chicagoland in her No. 10 Aspen Dental Chevrolet this weekend, not only will she be returning to her “home” track, she will also be returning to a facility where she has experienced a measure of success. In three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at the track, she finished a career-best 19th there in September 2014 and has two top-20 finishes to her credit. In four NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, she finished a career-best 10th in June 2011 and has earned three top-15 finishes. Patrick also competed in six IndyCar Series events at Chicagoland, earning a pole award in September 2005, two top-10 race finishes and six top-15s.

This weekend, it’s “Sweet Home Chicago” for Patrick, who’s looking for a good run for the Aspen Dental team.
