Transportation Impact Steps Up to Support Sam Hornish Jr. at Michigan

Transportation Impact, a current season-long associate partner of Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) and the No. 9 Ford driven by Sam Hornish Jr., will step up to be the primary partner of Hornish Jr. and the No. 9 team this weekend at the Michigan International Speedway for Sunday's 400-mile event. And, the company is also stepping up for a special charity, "Room for GRACE," a short term housing ministry located in Harnett County, N.C.
With the logos and brand colors of Transportation Impact on the hood and sides of the RPM No. 9, the company is proud to give space to "Room for GRACE" and its website,, on the No. 9 Ford TV panel. The mission of "Room for GRACE" is to provide short term housing to families or individuals who have endured a defined hardship that has left them without adequate housing. The private, non-profit organization is supported by companies such as Transportation Impact and is gracious for the opportunity to get in front of millions of race fans this weekend.
"This is a true blessing to be a part of Richard Petty Motorsports and the No. 9 team," said Jessica Moulton, Founder of 'Room for GRACE'. "We are so thankful to Transportation Impact in helping us spread our mission of helping those in need of short term housing. Hopefully fans can learn more about us and want to be a part of helping us give back. We invite anyone to visit our website to learn more about how they can help."
Headquartered in Emerald Isle, N.C., Transportation Impact is a privately held parcel spend management firm that helps its clients reduce shipping costs through small package negotiation and parcel auditing services. The company has partnered with RPM and the Petty Family Foundation over the past several years.
"We are proud to support Richard Petty Motorsports and Sam Hornish Jr. this weekend," said Travis Burt, Partner, Transportation Impact. "But, what is really special for us is the opportunity to introduce 'Room for GRACE' to the loyal Petty and NASCAR fans. This is an organization that is close to our hearts and we hope people take time to visit their site and learn more."
Transportation Impact is known as a leader in giving back to those in and around its community. Since 2008, the company has placed emphasis on charitable contributions and public service, giving back to organizations such as "Room for GRACE", The Boys and Girls Club, The American Heart Association and The Petty Family Foundation. They've donated in excess of a million dollars to charity and its staff has volunteered hundreds of hours of community service.  This weekend, Hornish Jr. is proud to join in their efforts.
"This is what Richard Petty Motorsports and our partners are all about, supporting causes that give back to those in need," said Hornish Jr. "Transportation Impact has been with us all season, but they saw an opportunity to help 'Room for GRACE' and they stepped up to support them and us. That's cool and we're looking forward to a great weekend in Michigan."
The No. 9 Transportation Impact Ford will also carry associate logos of Medallion Bank, Alfageen and General RV Center this weekend. The team will enter Michigan International Speedway on Friday for practice and qualifying.
