Dale Earnhardt Jr. Win Earns Hendrick Marrow Program Charitable Donation from Bosch Aftermarket - Speedway Digest

Dale Earnhardt Jr. raced his Bosch-equipped No. 88 Chevrolet to victory in Sunday’s NASCAR^® Sprint Cup Series™ race. In recognition of the win, Bosch Aftermarket NA is making an additional $1,000 contribution to the Hendrick Marrow Program. Thus far in the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, Bosch-supported teams have won thirteen races with Hendrick Motorsports accounting for six of them – all netting a similar donation.

The Hendrick Marrow Program mission is to raise money to help cover uninsured costs of transplants through the Hendrick Family Fund for patient assistance, while growing the Be The Match® Registry of volunteer donors. Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports, established the Hendrick Marrow Program of the Be The Match® Foundation, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, after being diagnosed with leukemia in 1997.

“Dale Jr. is simply fantastic when it comes to restrictor plate racing, and we’re honored Junior and his team trust Bosch quality parts to withstand the demands of such racing and help get him to victory lane,” said Tony Pauly, director of advertising and brand management for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket North America. “Bosch congratulates the entire Hendrick Motorsports organization for Dale Jr.’s victory, Jimmie Johnson’s 2nd and Jeff Gordon’s 6th place finish.”

Bosch has additionally provided quality parts including spark plugs, injectors, alternators, coils, filters, fuel pumps, starters and pressure regulators to multiple NASCAR teams for more than a decade, helping them to numerous appearances in victory lane and seven Sprint Cup Series championships since 2001.
