Richard Petty Motorsports, SHOP.COM Give Fans a Chance to Send Campers to Victory Junction

Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) and partner SHOP.COM have taken the Sprint Fan Vote to a new level and are calling all fans to join in. By voting for the driver of the No. 9 Ford, Sam Hornish Jr., for the Sprint Fan Vote, fans can send campers to Victory Junction. The camp was founded by the Petty family, in honor of Adam Petty, for children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses.

So how can fans help send campers to Victory Junction? It’s simple! SHOP.COM will make a $5 donation to Victory Junction for every fan vote that Hornish receives. For fans that share their votes on social media, Facebook and/or Twitter, a $10 donation will be made to the camp up to $25,000.

SHOP.COM will be the co-primary sponsor on the No. 9 Ford for the Sprint All-Star weekend alongside Victory Junction.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this program with RPM and Sam,” said JR Ridinger, President & CEO of SHOP.COM. “Our first visit to Victory Junction was so impactful; we immediately decided to become a donor. Camp is such a special place, and it makes a lasting impact in the lives of so many children and their families. Having the opportunity to support RPM, Sam and Victory Junction by sending 10 campers to camp was really a simple decision for us to join in on this campaign, and we challenge race fans everywhere to rally with us in this effort. “

Brain Moffitt, CEO of RPM, is appreciative to have sponsors like SHOP.COM that not only support our drivers and our team, but support organizations like Victory Junction, that are also important to everyone within the organization.

“Victory Junction is obviously something that is near and dear to our hearts, and we’re always looking for ways to give children the opportunity to attend the camp,” said Moffitt. “Having a company like SHOP.COM step forward and take on the challenge of sending campers to Victory Junction through a very unique campaign is something we are very appreciative of. It’s an easy way that fans can get involved and provide a great experience to children that truly deserve it.”

Hornish couldn’t be more excited about the chance to help execute this campaign and give deserving kids an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

“I’m excited that I have the opportunity to achieve two goals during the All-Star weekend,” said Hornish. “The most important achievement for the weekend is to send children to Victory Junction. It’s inspirational for me every time I get to visit camp, and I’m honored to be a part of something that is helping others. Any time that you can achieve your goal, and it affects others’ lives with a positive impact, it’s remarkable. It’s amazing how you get to live out your dream, and through those accomplishments, others can benefit. It’s not something that’s just in-the-moment, but you can see the benefits for years to come.”
