Bowman Rallies for Top-25 Finish at Atlanta

Alex Bowman and the No. 7 Nikko RC/Toy State Chevrolet rallied for a top-25 finish in their debut race of the 2015 season.

Due to a delay in technical inspection, Bowman and eight other cars were relegated to starting at the rear of the field for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. After the drop of the green flag Bowman immediately gained positions and by the competition caution at Lap 25, he had already worked his way into 29th position. Stellar pit stops from the Nikko RC/Toy State pit crew put “The Showman” into position throughout the race to capitalize on their speed.

Gaining 19 positions from his starting position, Bowman finished 23th in the Nikko RC/Toy State powered Chevrolet.

“We had a really fast No. 7 Nikko RC/Toy State Chevrolet,” Bowman said following the race. “If it wasn’t for issues with our track bar moving up on us, we could have had a top-20 finish. We’ll take a solid top-25 in our first race and move on from here.”

Next up for Bowman and the No. 7 team is the Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, March 8. Race coverage begins at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX. Coverage can also be heard on PRN and SIRIUS radio channel 90.
