Leavine Family Racing ready for season kick-off at Daytona

Leavine Family Racing is looking forward to starting the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season with a trip to Daytona International Speedway – the site of the team’s best finish.

Last July, Michael McDowell drove the No. 95 Ford to a seventh place finish at the famed superspeedway, which was also a career-best finish for himself.

McDowell will pilot the No. 95 Thrivent Financial Ford Fusion at Daytona to start his second season with Leavine Family Racing.

“Starting my second year with Leavine Family Racing has us more prepared for the upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup season,” said McDowell.  “We built a solid foundation last year and my relationship with Wally (Rogers, crew chief) has grown.  This is a talented team and we’re working towards strong finishes in 2015.”

Thrivent Financial (www.thrivent.com) will be the primary sponsor of the No. 95 at Daytona, kicking-off its extended 20-race sponsorship of the team. Thrivent is a Fortune 500* not-for-profit financial services organization that offers its Christian members a broad range of financial and insurance products, services and guidance to help them be wise with money and live generously.

“As the biggest race of the season, Daytona 500 is exactly where we want to kick off our extended sponsorship of Leavine Family Racing and Michael McDowell,” said Craig Stacey, a Thrivent spokesperson.  “We look forward to interacting with NASCAR fans who want to learn more about connecting faith and finances and to cheering on the No. 95 this season.”
