Biffle Drives No. 16 Ortho Fire Ant Killer Ford to a 13th-Place Finish in Texas

Greg Biffle came back from being a lap down to finish 13th at Texas Motor Speedway in his No. 16 Ortho Fire Ant Killer Ford Fusion.  Biffle started the race 19th and lost a lap due to handling.  After taking the “wave around”, he got back on the lead lap and survived two green-white-checkered attempts to finish 13th and remain 13thin the point standings.

Biffle started the race 19th and lost a lap to the leaders just over 100 laps into the race while searching for rear grip.  Wedge and air pressure adjustments throughout the race helped and midway the No. 16 team was in position to take advantage of the “wave around” rule and get back on the lead lap.  Biffle took full advantage of the opportunity and spent the rest of the race on the lead lap.

Fresh tires were a huge benefit, so while searching for grip Biffle pitted almost every opportunity that there was for fresh tires and minor chassis adjustments.  The closing laps were caution filled and set the field up for a green-white-checkered finish.  The caution came out before the white flag, leading to a second attempt at a green-white-checkered finish.  Biffle maneuvered on the restart and crossed the finish line 13th in his No. 16 Ortho Fire Ant Killer Ford.
