NASCAR Young Guns Help Launch Fall Season of Speed During August 9 Parade of Power

NASCAR young guns Trevor Bayne, David Ragan and Reed Sorenson will join NHRA driver Doug Herbert and speedway president Marcus Smith in the speedway’s Parade of Power, as vehicles representing every form of motorsports that will compete this fall at Charlotte Motor Speedway, zMAX Dragway and The Dirt Track at Charlotte will parade down Bruton Smith Boulevard, Tuesday, Aug. 9, starting at noon.

The parade will begin at Concord Mills Mall and travel east on Bruton Smith Boulevard to the speedway, where it will end at the Avenue of Flags. A press conference will follow the conclusion of the parade, where the drivers and Charlotte Motor Speedway officials will discuss activities surrounding the speedway’s Fall Season of Speed. Following the press conference, fans in attendance will participate in a question-and-answer session with the drivers and the first 100 fans in attendance will be invited to an autograph session in the speedway ticket office.

The Parade of Power is scheduled to include NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars, Nationwide Series cars, a NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified tour car, a World of Outlaws sprint car and late model, a Monster Truck, an NHRA Top Fuel dragster and Funny Car, classic cars, speedway Toyota Camry pace cars, a
Rosenbauer fire engine and more.
