Ford Racing Launches #FordAlwaysRacing Sweepstakes Through Multi-Faceted Fan Engagement Campaign

Ford Racing drivers are wired to win and that love of racing is illustrated in a new promotion and fan sweepstakes called Ford Always Racing, launching today around the NASCAR race weekend at Richmond International Raceway.

In conjunction with the fan sweepstakes launch, the No. 99 Ford Fusion of Carl Edwards will feature a #FordAlwaysRacing paint scheme and fire suit. Edwards, a winner already at Bristol this season, is one of seven Ford Racing drivers who will appear in online videos throughout the year that highlight their competitive nature.

“This is a very exciting and fun way for our fans to interact, both at the race track with the Ford Flyer go-karts and online through the sweepstakes website. It also gives our loyal fans a chance to win one of two VIP racing experiences,” said Tim Duerr, Ford Racing marketing manager.

Ford Racing will have a 20,000-square-foot display in the Richmond International Speedway midway which will give fans a chance to participate in a brand new interactive racing game featuring Ford Flyers, a go-kart-looking vehicle that is built low to the ground and fun to drive.

Richmond is the first of five race track displays that will feature this new game, and any fan that participates will automatically be entered in the Ford Always Racing Sweepstakes.  Ford will select one fan from four of the first five tracks to attend a VIP trip to Ford Championship Weekend in Homestead, Florida.

A special bonus round will be held from October 26 – November 24 with one winner selected from online and another from the Ford Flyer racers at Ford Championship Weekend. These fans will win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to NASCAR Champions’ Week in Las Vegas.

Fans will also have the opportunity to register to win online via the #FordAlwaysRacing webpage (www.fordalwaysracing.com) with two winners being selected from online registrations.

“It really is true that race car drivers are always racing. It is in their blood and for our Ford drivers that is especially true,” said Jamie Allison, director, Ford Racing. “This #FordAlwaysRacing campaign will play off the fun spirit of Ford and racing for all our fans to enjoy.”

The #FordAlwaysRacing sweepstakes runs through November 24 with the Ford Flyers making at-track appearances at Michigan (June 13-15), Kentucky (June 26-28), Bristol (Aug. 20-23) and Homestead (Nov. 14-16).
