Brian Scott qualified for Sunday's Auto Club 400 in the 37th position, in only his fourth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start. Early on in the 206-lap race, Scott found speed in his No. 33 Whitetail Chevrolet SS gaining 20 positions on track by lap 60 to race in 17th place. BRIAN SCOTT QUOTE:
"Our Whitetail Chevrolet team worked so hard this weekend. We finally found some speed at the end of practice on Saturday. At the start of the race, we made gains and moved up inside the top 20. Unfortunately, we just tried to bounce back from the accident and couldn't recover."
