Homesteadmiamispeedway.com To Stream Daytona Testing

Homestead-Miami Speedway, in conjunction with SPEED and SPEED.com, will stream live coverage of Preseason Thunder testing in its entirety from Daytona International Speedway Jan. 12-14 as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races back into action after a short but lively offseason.

The main focus of the test is for teams to work on their final preparations for 2012 Speedweeks, the 54th running of the Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 26 and the rest of the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series campaign. SPEED, SPEED.com and HomesteadMiamiSpeedway.com will combine to offer 21 hours of live coverage during the three-day test session.

“As a great partner, SPEED covers the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season from the minute the cars first hit the track until the champion makes his acceptance speech at the banquet each year,” said Homestead-Miami Speedway President Matthew Becherer. “Based on the way last season concluded here at Homestead-Miami Speedway, this is one test session you won’t want to miss.”

Preseason Thunder testing Jan. 12-14 will be streamed live on the web at: www.homesteadmiamispeedway.com/vanity-pages/2012/testing.aspx.

SPEED invites fans to submit questions and comments through Twitter @SPEED (http://www.twitter.com/speed) using the #DaytonaTesting and #DAYTONA500 hash tags during the test sessions to be answered on-air.

This year’s NASCAR Championship finale will again return to Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, November 18, 2012.  It will mark the 11th consecutive year that the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship race will conclude in Miami.
