“On behalf of the GO TEXAN program, we’re proud to sponsor Austin Wayne Self and the AM Racing team for another successful year,” said Commissioner Sid Miller. “From BBQ sauce to boots, the great state of Texas is home to the best stuff on earth and this partnership with AM Racing is a great way to get the message out.

“The GO TEXAN program is celebrating its 20-year anniversary this year and working with Austin and his team are a great way to “drive” Texans to locally made products.  So, when you shop, look for our brand in the shape Texas and “Find the Mark That Matters!”

Returning to its coveted location on the television panel of Self’s truck is Don’t mess with Texas.

The Don’t mess with Texas campaign is part of the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) litter prevention program, which includes Don’t mess with Texas, Adopt-a-Highway, and a grassroots partnership with Keep Texas Beautiful.

For more than 30 years, Don’t mess with Texas has made tremendous progress educating Texans about the impact of littering on the state’s economy, environment and physical landscape.

Returning for a second straight season, the United Sorghum Checkoff Program will campaign its efforts through the Sorghum: The Smart Choice® brand with Self at both Texas Motor Speedway races in March and June respectively.

Sorghum is the world’s fifth-most important grain crop and is grown on approximately 100 million acres worldwide, including approximately six million acres in the U.S. Currently, Texas and Kansas account for 80 percent of U.S. sorghum production.

The Sorghum Checkoff focuses on developing direct awareness of the benefits of using sorghum as a fuel and feedstock in the ethanol industry. This serves as the foundation of demand for the sorghum industry, as ethanol producers typically use about one-third of the sorghum crop to produce clean-burning, high octane fuel.

Austin is a tremendous advocate for sorghum farmers in Texas and across the U.S.,” offered John Duff Strategic Business Director Sorghum. “We’re already seeing increased demand for higher blends as a result of the partnership, and we can’t wait to see what awesome opportunities we’ll have to promote ethanol alongside Austin in 2019.”

“I’m very thankful to have the support of GO TEXAN, AM Technical Solutions, Don’t mess with Texas, and Sorghum: The Smart Choice,” said Austin Wayne Self. “It’s humbling to know that all of our partners from 2018 have pledged their support for another season.

“This year we will continue to focus on accomplishing some great things together both on and off the track. As our marketing partners continue to look for cutting-edge opportunities to strengthen their brands, it’s important that I do everything I can both on and off the track to keep that not only engaged but recognizable.”

Additional marketing partnership(s) for Self, the 2014 ARCA Racing Series Rookie of the Year, are forthcoming.
