Champion Power Equipment Expands Partnership With GMS Racing

GMS Racing officials are pleased to announce that longstanding partner Champion Power Equipment, a leading supplier of durable engine powered products, will be the primary sponsor of Grant Enfinger for the Full Throttle S’loonshine 98.9 Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) race at Kansas Speedway on Friday, October 16. This will mark Champion’s first primary sponsorship in the motorsports realm.

“Champion Power Equipment has been an invaluable partner to GMS Racing, both on the track and back at our race shop. Their equipment has become synonymous with dependability and without it our teams would feel the void, week in and week out,” said Nic Moncher, Team Manager. “There is no better way for our two organizations to expand our already strong partnership, than to see the No. 23 Champion Power Equipment Chevrolet SS take to the track at Kansas Speedway, with Grant Enfinger behind the wheel.”

Champion Power Equipment is a market leader in power generation equipment.  Champion has years of experience providing dependable and durable power products designed and engineered in the United States for the North American and world markets.  For work, recreation or home use, Champion products are the standard of performance excellence.

“I am excited to represent Champion Power Equipment in the ARCA Racing Series season finale at Kansas Speedway.” Said Grant Enfinger, driver of the No. 23 Chevrolet SS. “Champion is widely acknowledged for supplying customers with high-quality, durable, engine-driven products, and I have come to rely on my Champion generator several times at my home. They are a great organization and I look forward to bringing them (Champion Power Equipment) and GMS Racing their first ARCA Racing Series championship title.”

“Champion began our partnership with GMS Racing at the beginning of 2014 and immediately realized we had partnered with a winning team.” Said Todd Welzbacher, Champion Vice President – Business Development. “We are very excited about our primary sponsorship of Grant Enfinger and GMS Racing as they race for the ARCA Championship and win at Kansas Speedway.”

Enfinger leads the driver championship point standings going into Kansas with a 320-lead over second place, Josh Williams. Leading up to the finale, Enfinger has claimed six victories, 12 top five, 15 top-10 finishes, three pole awards, and has 792 laps led. Enfinger and GMS Racing also played a monumental role in earning Chevrolet their 13th manufacturers championship, since 1988, in the ARCA Racing Series.

The ARCA Racing Series returns to action next Friday night, October 16 at Kansas Speedway for their 2015 season finale. Enfinger and his No. 23 Champion Power Equipment Chevrolet SS team will take the green flag shortly after 7:30 PM Central, and it can be seen LIVE in its entirety on FOX Sports 1.
