Peck Motorsport​s Comes to Martinsvil​le with New Power

After evaluating their engine program, Todd Peck and the No. 96 Stopain Chevrolet team heads to the .526-mile Martinsville Speedway with a new Pro Motor Engines (PME) power plant under the hood. The new engine is designed to help improve the performance of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team on the track and allow them to qualify on speed for this weekend’s Kroger 200.
 
Before the team debuts the new engine in their No. 96 Stopain Chevrolet, the Pennsylvania-based team will continue to bring value to their partners and the Arthritis Foundation. The team will make two appearances heading into the weekend. Wednesday the team and their unique, Renewable Engineered Systems-prepared, solar powered transporter will visit the Holiday Shopping Center in Martinsville on Wednesday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Peck will be on-hand to sign autographs and give away Stopain samples as viewers can learn more about NASCAR’s only solar powered race transporter.

 

On Thursday, Peck will make an appearance at the Walgreens on Greensboro Road in Martinsville from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Again, Peck will be signing autographs and giving away samples of Stopain, the topical pain reliever.

 

Continuing the team’s partnership with the Arthritis Foundation, Stopain and the team will host families and children who suffer from juvenile arthritis. The families will be local to the Martinsville area. The guests will be able to meet Todd and spend the day at the track.

“We’re pretty anxious to get into this weekend. We’ve been in Charlotte since Monday working on our truck. We’ve put a new engine in it and also set up the truck here too. I think that’s going to give us a bigger lead going into the weekend than what we’ve had in the past. It makes us optimistic that we can have our fastest truck at the track yet. So, we just need to finish our work here in Charlotte and then head to the track and get to work.

 

“Martinsville is a fun track and I enjoy the flat tracks. It’s a tough place to pass and you see a lot of action, but I think the fans love that too. Our goal is really to go out and concentrate on qualifying into a solid position. After that, it’s about completing all the laps and staying out of trouble. If you can do that at Martinsville, you usually leave with a pretty good result.”
