Snider Earns Hard-Fought Top 10

Myatt Snider survived an up-and-down race to bring home his second career top-10 finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS). This was only Snider’s fourth start for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) in the No. 51 Louisiana Hot Sauce Tundra for the 2017 season.

Stage One Recap:
  • When the green flag dropped, Snider rolled his No. 51 Louisiana Hot Sauce Tundra off in the 10th position. He kept his position inside the top 10 for most of the stage until he got loose on a pass and spun on Lap 29 to bring out the caution. After making a trip down pit road for four fresh tires and damage assessment, Snider restarted 23rd. When the caution flag flew to end Stage One, he was running in the 18th position.
Stage Two Recap:
  • Snider started Stage Two in the 12th position. After a great restart, the rookie moved back inside of the top 10. For the remainder of the stage Snider worked the track to his advantage and didn’t fall outside of the top 10 for the whole stage. When the stage ended he was scored ninth.
Stage Three Recap:
  • The No. 51 Toyota Racing team started the final stage with four new tires and significant changes. When Snider took the restart he was 15th but quickly maneuvered his way to 11th place. When the caution flew on Lap 104, Snider made a trip to pit road for two right-side tires – eventually making a second trip for the two left-side tires as well. After a three-wide restart, the No. 51 Tundra was back inside the top 10 with 24 laps to go. As the checkered flag flew to end the race, Snider was scored 10th.
