AM Racing Announces Partnership with Go Texan

The power of Texas teamwork is on display again as AM Racing has partnered with The Texas Department of Agriculture for the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, the team announced on Thursday.

AM Racing and driver Austin Wayne Self will promote the Texas Department of Agriculture’s GO TEXAN campaign. AM Racing is a Texas-based organization and Self, 19, a Rookie of the Year candidate who finished second in ARCA Series competition in ’15, is an Austin native who exemplifies what pride in the Lone Star State is all about.

“I’m excited and thankful to have The Texas Department of Agriculture’s GO TEXAN campaign on board our No. 22 Toyota Tundra this season, and know they’ll be a valuable member of the AM Racing family,” Self said. “I’m a big supporter of Texas-made products and believe strong teamwork drives success, and that’s what GO TEXAN represents. I look forward to working with them in 2016.”

The GO TEXAN campaign, with its signature logo in the shape of Texas, is designed to encourage consumers around the world, including brand-loyal NASCAR fans, to seek and purchase Texas-made products. GO TEXAN membership shines a marketing spotlight on businesses based in the Lone Star State by affording them exclusive branding and networking opportunities with other member companies.

“We’re so excited for our GO TEXAN program to partner with AM Racing to spread the word about Texas agriculture and the many wonderful products that are made right here in the Lone Star State,” Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller said. “GO TEXAN and AM Racing both have roots that run deep in Texas, so it was a natural fit for GO TEXAN to hop on board with AM Racing to promote the best of Texas and the many businesses that call our great state home. Texans have an incredible sense of pride for our state and our heritage, and I’m excited for NASCAR and AM Racing fans all across the country to discover why they should GO TEXAN.”

The GO TEXAN initiative began in 1999 with a focus on Texas agricultural products. The program later expanded to include shrimp and Texas wine, and now features Texas-made products of all kinds.

AM Racing makes its foray into NCWTS competition this season with strong early support from a rapidly-expanding family of Texas-based partners, including AM Technical Solutions, Louie Mueller Barbecue, Texas Tea and the Don’t mess with Texas litter-prevention awareness campaign.
