Timothy Peters Finishes Eighth at Michigan

Timothy Peters collected his eighth top-10 finish of the 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season with an eighth-place result at Michigan International Speedway. Peters started the 100-lap Careers for Veterans 200 from the fifth position. He maintained his place inside the top five of the running order and crew chief Marcus Richmond called the Danville, Virginia driver to pit road for service while under caution on lap 27. The No. 17 Red Horse Racing team put four fresh Goodyear tires on the red and white machine, packed it with Sunoco fuel, and made a wedge adjustment to help with a tight-handling condition. Just past halfway, Peters reported a vibration in the right front tire and slipped back to the ninth position. With Peters happy with the truck’s balance, the team changed four tires and sent him back out with a full tank of fuel during a green-flag pit stop on lap 64. Peters was able to gain a spot in the closing laps to take the checkered flag in the eighth position in the Irish Hills of Michigan.

Timothy Peters Quote:
On his day at Michigan…
“This Red Horse Racing team worked hard and we had a fast Tundra this weekend at Michigan (International Speedway). We’ll have a quick turnaround this week and leave for Bristol (Motor Speedway) on Tuesday morning. I’m looking forward to getting back to some short-track racing.”
