Tyler Young is confident heading into Martinsville

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to Martinsville (Va.) Speedway for the Kroger 250 on Saturday, March 28, the third race on the 2015 schedule.

Tyler Young, driver of the No. 02 Randco Industries/Young’s Building Systems Chevrolet Silverado, has three starts at the half-mile “paperclip,” and he’s hoping his confidence, short-track racing experience, and his experience at the .526-mile track will help him score his first career top-10 finish in Saturday’s 250-lap event.

Sounding Off – Tyler Young:

“In terms of track experience, Martinsville is a track I have quite a bit of experience at. This will be my fourth start and we tested there before the fall race last year. So, I have a lot of confidence going into this weekend. We made good gains during the fall race last year, ran in the top-10, got shuffled back due to pit strategy, and worked our way back up to a track-best finish. That’s what we have to keep doing, making gains. I feel like we did that throughout the season last year and if we can keep building on that this year, we are going to get that first top-10 finish. Unlike last year, we are inside the top-15 in points, less than five points out of seventh, going into Martinsville. A solid run here and we can be comfortably inside the top-10 in points.”
