Kyle Larson NCWTS Preview: Eldora Speedway

Experienced At Eldora…When the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to Eldora Speedway on Wednesday, July 24, Kyle Larson will be one of just a few drivers in the field with experience at the 0.5-mile dirt oval. Larson, who has extensive experience racing on dirt tracks in the open-wheel ranks, is one of only two drivers to sweep the USAC Four Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway. In addition to sweeping the USAC Midget, Silver Crown and Sprint Car features at Eldora in 2011, Larson also won in the USAC Midgets in 2012.

Return To The Trucks…The Mudsummer Classic will mark the second NCWTS start of 2013 for Larson, a NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) regular and Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender. In his only other NCWTS start this season, Larson dominated at Rockingham Speedway, starting third, leading 187 of 205 laps and beating NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Joey Logano on the green/white/checkered finish to earn his first career win in one of NASCAR’s top-three series. In five career starts in the NCWTS, Larson has collected one win, two top fives and four top 10s while leading a total of 278 laps.

Clorox Clean At The Dirt Track…Despite going to the “dirtiest” track on the circuit, Larson hopes to come home with a clean finish with sponsor Clorox back on board. Clorox has previously partnered with Larson in the ARCA Racing Series and NNS races at Daytona International Speedway this season. The Clorox Company is a leading manufacturer and marketer of consumer products with 8,400 employees and fiscal year 2012 revenues of $5.5 billion. Clorox markets some of the most trusted and recognized brand names, with nearly 90 percent of the company’s brands holding the No. 1 or No. 2 market share positions in their categories. The company’s products are manufactured in more than two dozen countries and marketed in more than 100 countries.

Come On By To Say Hi…Larson will be attending the autograph session, located in the multi-purpose building behind Turns 3 and 4, on Tuesday, July 23 from 2:00-2:45 p.m. EDT.

Kyle Larson on Eldora Speedway

“I have been looking forward to this race for a really long time. I’ve had a lot of fun racing at Eldora and have had quite a bit of success, so I am excited to get back; I can’t wait to see how the trucks run there. I am really thankful to Turner Scott Motorsports and Earnhardt Ganassi Racing for putting me in this truck and to Clorox for being back on board. I think this is one of those races where anything can happen, and I think the fans are really going to enjoy it.”
