Dave Blaney Eldora Preview

Dave Blaney, driver of the No. 19 Reese Towpower Ford F-150, will make his inaugural start for Brad Keselowski Racing (BKR) in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ (NCWTS) dirt track debut during Wednesday night’s CarCash Mudsummer Classic Presented by CNBC’s Prime’s the Profit at Eldora Speedway.

The father of full-time BKR driver, Ryan Blaney, will pilot the No. 19 BKR Ford F-150 in only his third career NCWTS start. Blaney’s last NCWTS start came in 2007 at Homestead, where he started 5th and finished 10th after leading two laps.

Blaney, who is a regular in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) for TBR, is also a regular in The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series and has found tremendous success at Eldora Speedway, winning two of the track’s largest races, “The Historical Big One” and “The Kings Royal” — both in 1995. Blaney has also competed in track owner, Tony Stewart’s, Prelude to the Dream multiple times, with a highest finish of second in 2006.

Crew chief, Chad Kendrick, will be calling the shots for Blaney.

The No. 19 BKR team now sits 10th in the NCWTS owner points standings, 74 points back from first.

“It’s such an honor to be given the opportunity from Brad to race with my son, Ryan, as a teammate Wednesday night at Eldora. I know the BKR guys have been preparing very diligently for this race and I will do everything in my power to put the Reese Towpower F-150 in victory lane on Wednesday night.”
