ASA Pro Truck Series signs long-term agreement with ASA Racing

ASA President Dennis Huth announced a long-term agreement today with the ASA Pro Trucks Series.  The Series formerly known as the Intermountain Pro Trucks joins the ASA Family of sanctioned series.

“This is an incredible opportunity for our series,” Randy Kerr, ASA Pro Trucks Series
Promoter said.  “Our agreement with ASA Racing will help take our series to a new level.  This is a great way for us to move forward.  Our long-term arrangement will help us accomplish our goal of being recognized as the top oval truck series competing in Idaho and Utah.”

The name change will also help re-brand the series in order to gain more identity.  “We have been looking at changing our name from the Intermountain Pro Trucks to just the Pro Trucks,” Kerr explained. “When we started talking to Dennis Huth about being sanctioned with ASA, the ASA Pro Trucks Series name sounded perfect with our long term goals.”

The ASA Pro Trucks Series becomes the third regional truck series sanctioned by ASA.  They join the ASA Truck Series that competes in the Southwest and the ASA Midwest Truck Tour.

Kerr and Huth have a friendship that goes back to when Huth was involved in the creation of the NASCAR Truck Series in the 1990’s.  “I still remember being at Mesa Marin when Dennis made the announcement,” Kerr recalled.  “Who would have thought how far oval truck racing has come since that announcement.”

“Everyone at ASA Racing welcomes Randy Kerr and the ASA Pro Trucks Series to our family of ASA Member Tracks and Series,” Huth said. “The ASA Pro Trucks Series have put on some of the best competitive side-by-side racing.  Our ASA Member Track promoters speak very highly of their professionalism and great entertaining shows that they provide for their fans.  We look forward to our long-term and successful relationship.”
