Ace Speedway, an ASA Member Track, is pleased to announce the 2012 schedule for our 56th year of racing in Altamahaw, NC.

The first event is slated for March 10th with the Farewell to Frost 200, featuring Twin 50's for the modified division that has previously competed in the popular Madhouse Meltdown. The stars and cars of the Madhouse compose the Mod Madness series and will visit the famous four-tenths mile a total of 4 times, possibly 5, with special events on July 3rd and Labor Day Monday, September 3rd.

Ace Speedway also welcomes the USAC Nationals March 29-31 for an unprecedented 2-day racing program. The event is highlighted by the debut of the USAC National Midget division, known for producing such stars as Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, Kasey Kahne, and newly crowned Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart. The weekend will include two nights of racing on Friday and Saturday, after kicking off with a media and practice day Thursday, March 29. Also competing will be the USAC Ford Focus midgets which have raced here several times in 2011 and bring such names as Andretti and Irvan to the speedway.

Friday, April 6th will mark the premier of Ace Speedway's weekly program with the 3rd annual "EGGStravaganza" featuring races for all 5 classifications, highlighted by the Dick Shirley Chevrolet Late Model division. The Limited Late Model, Modified, Mini Stock, and Extreme divisions will round out the lineup and join the Street Stocks in a season long battle for points to determine the respective champions of 2012. Another intriguing element of the schedule will be the introduction of the Triple Aces Series that consists of 3 longer races and prestigious payouts for the drivers that accumulate the most points with this series' format. Details are still being finalized at the time of this announcement for what is sure to be a compelling event for the standard 5 classes and add extra spice throughout the season at Ace.

Rules meetings to discuss updates and/or changes are scheduled for January 7, with the 2011 Awards Banguet slated for February 4. The first Preseason Practice is scheduled for March 3. Details for all things Ace Speedway are availble online at www.acespeedway.com or please call the office (336) 585-1200.
