Heroes Haven Joins JD Motorsports At Dover

Heroes Haven will be featured this weekend at Dover International Speedway in NASCAR Xfinity Series action.

Partnering with JD Motorsports, the No. 0 Chevrolet driven by Garrett Smithley of Peachtree, Ga., will carry the Heroes Haven colors for the Drive Sober 200 on the Dover high banks Saturday.

Heroes Haven works with American military members to honor and support those who have sacrificed so much for their country. At Dover, military member Steven Prince will be the team’s special guest and will be designated as an honorary crew member, sitting on the team’s pit box and sharing the race day in a special way.

The partnership was made possible by Ken and Tracy Adams of Georgetown, Del.

“These service men and women have done so much for us,” JD Motorsports team owner Johnny Davis said. “It’s the least we can do. We enjoy working with the Heroes Haven folks at Dover. It’s an honor for us to be involved with them.”

JD Motorsports is owned by Johnny Davis and is based in Gaffney, S.C. The team operates three full-time operations in the NASCAR Xfinity Series — the No. 01 operation driven by Ryan Preece, the No. 4 (driven by Ross Chastain) and No. 0 (driven by Garrett Smithley) teams.
