Garrett Smithley is pleased that the Xfinity Series is finished with its road-course racing for the season.
A second-lap accident left Smithley with a 40th-place finish in Saturday’s Road America 180 Xfinity race at the Road America course.
“Unfortunately, a very short day for us,” Smithley said. “Never had a chance to really get moving out there. We’ll gear back up for Darlington.”
Smithley is 18th in Xfinity driver points 23 races into the season.
