LaJoie’s Top-10 Run Ruined by Broken Part at New Hampshire

Corey LaJoie entered the NASCAR XFINITY Series event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway looking forward to piloting his No. 24 youtheory Toyota at a track where he had a good amount of experience.  He definitely showed what happens when he is familiar with a track as LaJoie rocketed inside the top-10 in the early portion of the running of the AutoLotto 200.  Unfortunately, disaster would strike on lap 65 when a broken right rear shock mount would send Corey and his No. 24 machine into the outside wall putting a premature end to the strong run.
“Man, I was just sick after this race,” said LaJoie.  “Steven Lane (crew chief) and the guys on this JGL Racing team worked hard and gave me a very strong car.  We were rolling along there really well and moving up through the field.  We made one pit stop and the guys made the car even better for me.  Then our streak of bad luck continued with a $50 part breaking and ruining our strong run.”
LaJoie would start the 200-lap event from the 20th position as a result of his qualifying effort.  When the green flag flew, Corey quickly proved he was comfortable with his No. 24 youtheory Toyota as he moved into the top-15 after only a few laps.  LaJoie would maintain his track position until the first caution of the day flew on lap 50.  A quick trip down pit road to the attention of his JGL Racing crew allowed for a small adjustment.  Once back to green flag racing, Corey would charge inside the top-10 where he ran until disaster struck and relegated the No. 24 youtheory Toyota to a disappointing 37th place finish.
“I think we showed today how strong of a team we are and how we are capable of running,” added Corey.  “We definitely had a top-10 car today and maybe even better depending on how things played out.  Again I want to thank all the guys on this JGL Racing team for all their hard work and giving me a strong No. 24 youtheory Toyota. I am sure they will put together another strong car our next time out at Bristol.”
LaJoie will return to the seat of the No. 24 youtheory Toyota at Bristol Motor Speedway for the running of the Food City 300 on Friday August 19th.
