David Starr Secures Best Finish of the Season

Bristol Motor Speedway served as the venue to host the first of a four part series in the Dash 4 Cash races for the 2016 season. The event consisted of two Heat Races of 50 laps each and a Main Event of 200 laps. Qualifying order determined Heat Race assignment and the results of each Heat Race determined starting order for the Main Event.

David Starr qualified the No. 44 Zachry Camry in 30th position which per the Dash 4 Cash format, slotted the Zachry Camry in Heat No. 2, starting 15th. Starr finished 12th in the the 50 lap Heat Race which secured a 24th place start for the Main Event. On lap nine, Starr reported he was battling a loose condition. Through a series of two pit stops of adjustments, the Zachry Camry became a little tight through the center. With a late in the race caution, Crew Chief Frank Kerr opted to stay out to gain track position. Starr rallied the last three laps and managed to bring home a 17th place finish for the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300.
